Priorities

The pandemic has shown us that systemic change is possible. Now is the time to make this change happen to enhance our community and to preserve our planet for the next generation.

I am committed to fighting for greener polices for the benefit of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown and our planet as a whole. My priorities include:

Housing

There is no place for derelict or vacant sites and properties in our community. I will continue to support the penalisation of these sites and the prioritisation of social and affordable housing in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown.

I am committed to working with the Council to widen the social housing stock and tackling long waiting lists. If you have any questions or need any help to access the housing list, please don’t hesitate to contact me.  : Priorities

Active Travel

Prioritising walking and cycling benefits everyone. I will continue to fight to protect and expand active travel routes, making it safer for children to walk and cycle to school, and reducing pressure on our roads.

Expanding the public transport network is essential to reducing air pollution and making our roads safer. I will continue to advocate for more expansive public transport across Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown.

Our town centres need to be accessible for all. This means increased disability parking spaces and bike parking in town centres and popular spots.

Community and Culture

I believe that Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown should be a fun place to live. This means supporting artists, protecting and growing our public amenities and improving our night-time economy offering.

I have called for the reopening of Glenalbyn swimming pool and am working towards increasing the number of cultural spaces in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown. If you have an idea for a cultural event in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown, please contact me and I can work with the council to see what funding opportunities are available.

Climate Action

I want the greener choice to be the easier choice in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown. This means an efficient transport network, improved recycling facilities, promoting retrofitting and support for repair hubs.

There are a number of supports available to support climate action in your home. Such as retrofitting grants and supports to foster biodiversity in your garden. If you’re interested in learning more about what’s available, please get in touch.

A more progressive political system

I have experienced first-hand how difficult working as a public representative is as a new mother. I have repeatedly called for maternity and paternity leave for local representatives and will continue to fight to remove barriers to entry into politics for everyone.

If you are considering a career in politics or simply have questions on how the political system works, I am happy to help.
